FAQ
Short answers about the oirat.org catalog: suggesting resources, wiki-style edits, and what we don’t list.
FAQ
How do I suggest a resource?
Open Suggest a resource (/suggest/?mode=new), add the URL and a short description. It is submitted online and reviewed by hand — nothing auto-publishes. Contact is via the form; you can also use [email protected] when needed.
How do wiki-style text edits work?
Highlight text on any page and press Suggest edit, or open an edit from a catalog card. A bot/volunteer checks credibility; edits never auto-publish.
What don’t you publish?
Empty or dead links; organizations on extremist lists (including those tied to the Congress of the Oirat-Kalmyk People and “Volny Ulus”). The catalog is a directory, not a stance.
What languages is the site in?
Interface: Kalmyk, Russian, Chinese, English. Each resource card shows language badges; the catalog has a resource-language filter.
Is this news, or a Kalmyks.com replacement?
No. Updates are only notes about the catalog and site. World news lives at external media in the catalog (topic News). We do not replace Kalmyks.com or other platforms.
